Blessing of the Animals is Sunday, September 29 at the 10:30 a.m. Worship.
We will celebrate the blessing of the animals in our regular worship celebration. There will be a general animal blessing and then an offer to bless pets individually. A section of the sanctuary will be reserved as a “no pet zone” for people with allergies.
Remembering Deceased Pets
Pets that are no longer with us still fill our hearts with memories. Please bring a photo of your pet and we will remember them and give thanks. We will have a “photo board” to display pictures of past pets.
Stuffed Animals: Young children are invited to bring their stuffed animal pals for a special blessing during Children’s Time.
Here are some helpful guidelines
-Bring friendly and well-behaved animals.
-Nervous, aggressive, or unavailable creatures can be represented via photos, stuffed animals, drawings, or statues.
-There will be a “Photo board” for posting photos of pets that cannot be there in person.
Animals should be under control and restrained by appropriate devices (leashes, etc.) or carriers.
