Christian Outreach Project (COP)
High school students and adult volunteers from Morrow Church will join with students and leaders from eight or more other churches to carry out a week of home repairs for elderly and/or disabled homeowners in need. The projects range from roofing (for 18-year-olds only) to wheelchair ramps to floors and walls to painting and gardening.
We leave after worship on Sunday, June 28, and return about noon on Saturday, July 4. You must stay the entire week.
We’ll be staying at Camp Lou Henry Hoover Girl Scout Camp outside of Newton, NJ. Students will be divided into teams of 4 (not necessarily with people from their church) and assigned two adult team leaders. There will be different activities each evening, including delicious dinners provided by different churches and worship/sharing.
The cost is $330. All those who sign up for COP are required to attend the COP Spaghetti Supper & Talent Show on Sunday, March 1, a fundraiser for our service trip.
