Morrow Methodist Church is seeking to better address food insufficiency in our community. Morrow is striving to move beyond our “casseroles & cans” ministries to help people address their food issues in a more sustainable and healthy way. However Morrow is not looking to reinvent the wheel and instead, wants to partner with other community groups to strengthen their efforts.
To this end, Morrow is holding a Lenten series, entitled, “Rebooting our Ministry with the Hungry” every Sunday in Lent at 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Bill Ehlers, who heads up Adult Education at Morrow, will be moderating the sessions.
Over the 5 weeks of Lent, Morrow will host leaders from local community groups to learn what they are doing to address food insufficiency and to discuss how Morrow Church can amplify their efforts. A session will be held post-Easter on April 23rd at 9:15-10:15 a.m. to review what we have learned and start crafting Morrow’s response to hunger in our community.
