Interfaith Hospitality Network

IHN (Interfaith Hospitality Network)- Morrow is in need of a person to coordinate IHN.  In the past, Morrow has had homeless families stay at Morrow for a week (or sometimes more) through the IHN organization. Volunteers interact with the families, prepare meals and stay overnight at the church.  We have many volunteers that are eager to help, we just need one or more people to organize the volunteers.  If you are interested, please contact Melinda Wilkening at mwilkening@verizon.net.

Turning Morrow Church into a home for IHN families is only possible through the coordinated effort of our many volunteers, who do everything from preparing meals and purchasing supplies to setting up rooms, washing bedding, and providing recreation and/or school help for children.

About the Interfaith Hospitality Network

Screen Shot 2015-08-18 at 3.48.21 PMThe Interfaith Hospitality Network, or IHN, houses families in need through a network of churches and synagogues.

While staying with IHN, families receive a place to stay and three healthy meals a day. They also work with social service professionals to address the underlying needs and issues that contributed to their homelessness.

Together, with the help of IHN, families work to set goals and receive guidance in taking the necessary steps to find and sustain a home.
