“Monday Night Sisters in Faith” will begin on Monday, September 17th at 7:30 p.m. in the Second Mile Room.
A group for women, we will read sometimes, share, hear from amazing guests, the format will change but the care and for each other, our community and our spiritual lives remains constant.
We will begin with What’s Your Story? Seeing Your Life Through God’s Eyes by Sarah Heath.
Typically, group meetings are organized around open discussions in which we share our thoughts on a selected source book. We talk about the weekly readings as well as share our own experiences.
In each meeting, there is time for concerns, joys, and prayer. Through it all, we support each other, journey together, and come closer to God.
The group also spends a few Thursdays each year in service, such as making food together for the Bessie Green Community in Newark. We also make occasional trips together, such as walking the labyrinth in Montclair, NJ.
The group, led by church member, Andrea Wren-Hardin meets Monday evenings, from September to June, from 7:30 p.m. -9:00p.m. in the Second Mile Room.
We welcome newcomers and drop-ins any time!
