Our Learning Celebrations take a new format this year with the beginning of Waffle Church. In response to the hopes of many to have family time on Sunday mornings AND have spiritual education, we’ve created Waffle Church on Sunday mornings.
In our lower hall (MacDonald Hall) we’ll gather at 9:15 a.m. for a waffle breakfast. Then, at 9:30 a.m., we’ll begin a time of singing together, sharing stories and prayers. Afterwards, we’ll break into small groups by age to catch up on our weeks, think/talk/respond to the story and care for each other.
Our Waffle Church curriculum will include take-home activities for weekdays. While we’ll hear a different story each week, we will have themed-units over 4-6 weeks.
Waffle Church kicks off on Sunday, September 17th — we’ll see you at 9:15 a.m.!
Professional childcare for children who are walking us to age 4 is provided in Room 105 and for infants through walking in the Infant Space (at the foot of the staircase from the Narthex). An usher will be happy to direct you. Children age 4 through 3rd grade may join us in the Sanctuary during worship, and then leave for Time for Young Disciples. Time for Young Disciples offers kids a time for fellowship and fun as they learn about the day’s scripture lesson. Pick-up is in rooms 116. Children’s bulletins are available for ages 3-6 and 7-12. Please ask an usher for copies.
