In partnership with the Our Lady of Sorrows Food Pantry
We hope that this email finds you and your families safe and well!
A huge thank you to those who generously supported the last food drive a few weeks ago. The Morrow Church, Memorial Preschool and the surrounding neighborhood donated almost 2,000 items to the Our Lady of Sorrows (OLS) Food Pantry.
We will be collecting food for the Our Lady of Sorrows Food Pantry on Saturday, June 6th at Morrow Memorial Church from 10 am – 4 pm. In the event of rain, we will reschedule to Sunday, June 7th. To accommodate social distancing, we will have a drop off on the front lawn on Ridgewood Road for pedestrians and another drop off in the Morrow parking lot off of Baker Street for those driving. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
The need is great! And, your generous donations were critical to meeting the needs of local families. The OLS Food Pantry usually serves around 150 patrons. Following the last Neighborhood Food Drive, the OLS Food Pantry served the most people ever – 324 patrons from SOMA and neighboring towns as well as providing the Parenting Center with 22 food packages for SOMA families. They are scheduled for another distribution the weekend after this food drive. Let’s fill them up again!
If you are able to donate any of the following items, we would greatly appreciate it! Please note the bold items at the beginning of the list are items that are in high need.

The Food Pantry at Our Lady of Sorrows
Established for over 40 years, the Food Pantry at Our Lady of Sorrows is an entirely volunteer-led effort. Donations of food and funds and our volunteer team come from the Parish and our local community of individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations. The Pantry is a member of and receives support from MEND (Meeting Essential Needs with Dignity, www.mendnj.org ), the oldest and largest interfaith network of pantries in Essex County.
